Implementation
SmartStart Implementation Methodology
Once the Requirements Discovery or Technology Solutions Roadmap is complete, we will review software solutions that meet your requirements. These solutions may be from various vendors, a single vendor or delivered in a secure, cloud-based environment.
Unlike other methodologies, SmartStart is both modular and flexible. For example, if you don’t need the inventory module, we can remove it from the implementation and reduce the price. On the other hand, if we discover better method for accomplishing your business goals halfway through the project, we can adjust the proposal and still use the fixed fee model. This gives you the benefit of reducing your risk, and avoiding any hidden expenses.

SmartStart packages can include the following Microsoft Dynamics GP modules:

Consider the change that has been introduced by the Internet. Users now demand a rapid response to their needs. This demand for rapid development and response has spawned its own programming type called eXtreme Programming or XP. The same principles from XP are applied to Njevity’s implementations to ensure that we are not building a solution that meets the needs of yesterday. When we couple our tested methodology with the flexibility of a small company, and mix in XP, we can build a platform that meets your needs today and provides a solid foundation for your future.
Deployment Planning Sessions
Throughout a SmartStart implementation, we conduct several deployment planning sessions with your team. The purpose of these meetings is to analyze your current business processes and develop a solution that bends to fit your business. We also gather reporting and integration requirements to ensure that your platform provides sound business intelligence. This allows you to make sound business decisions, based on data collected from many different systems, and displayed in whatever format is relevant to your role.
Project Management
Njevity always assigns a specific project manager to your team. We believe that one point of contact makes it easier for you to communicate. But remember, we are technical folks at heart, and there is always a need for redundancy! So every major project has a custom SharePoint portal as a key element. As a Njevity customer you have full access to this portal where you can checkm the project status, upload and download crucial documentation and submit questions directly to your project team. Gone are the days of waiting several days for a return call!
As a part of every project, Njevity provides:
- Coordination and administration of all aspects of the project.
- Scope Management – includes the development and sign-off of the Statement of Work, and managing changes to the scope throughout the project life cycle.
- Project Change Control – includes the process of managing changes to the project scope, schedule, cost, and any other factors that would impact the defined project.
- Time & Cost Management – includes managing and executing the project plan and working with you to plan, schedule, and execute all joint project development activities required for successful completion of the project within the defined schedule and budget.
- Communication Management – includes the development of a communications plan that outlines how the project status will be communicated. The plan would include who will receive the communication, the frequency of the communication, how it will be sent, and when it will be sent. In addition, the plan and execution of the plan would address status meetings or any other types of communication that Njevity and the Client require for managing the project.
